Description

Why protect sea turtles? Sea turtles help to improve coastal habitats through nesting, promote marine biodiversity by balancing prey populations, and are critical to the health of ocean ecosystems. Come investigate the life history of a loggerhead sea turtle a keystone species here on the island while learning how you can help protect them. This class includes exciting hands-on games and activities and is taught by a local marine biologist Chris Lener with over 15 years of experience in the field. Let's make a wave of change this summer!
