Join Pender County Parks and Recreation with sponsors Black River, Perry's Emporium, Farm Bureau Insurance, Marine Federal Credit Union, O'Reilly Auto Parts, Coastal Pender Rotary Club, Burry Chocolates, and Show your Glow, for the Oct. 11 Candy Drop at Hampstead Kiwanis Park. The event will begin at 3 p.m.. However, Candy will be dropped by age group (4 p.m. ages 0-4; 4:15 p.m. ages 5-8; 4:30 p.m., ages 9-12; 4:45 p.m. ages 13-17; and at 5 p.m. ages 18 and up.) Don't forget to wear your costume, and bring a bag or bucket to collect your candy. Vendors, food trucks, and touch-a-truck will be on hand. Stay for the movie at 7 p.m..
