Children and parents can experience a safe, fun and unique experience at the 1st annual Trick or Trick event at Lori’s Ace Home & Hardware.

The event is Sunday, October 26, 2025, from 1 p.m.-3 p.m. at Lori’s Ace Home & Hardware, 14021 NC-50 in Surf City.

Costumed youngsters and parents can walk the pumpkin trail weaving throughout the store to discover surprises and candy while listening to spooky, kid-friendly tunes. The event also includes free pizza, coloring and craft activities.

“I have such fond memories as a child dressing up as my favorite superhero or cartoon character and gathering up candy,” said Lori Tracy Stobbe, president and co-owner. “We wanted to recreate that excitement in a unique way while bringing the community together.”

The event is free and recommended for children ages 0-12 and their parents.
