Do you have a bit of free time and want to do something meaningful that will help your community? The 4C’s Food Pantry in Hampstead is looking for someone to fill a volunteer position (non-paid) as our Community Liaison. We are new to the Chamber and hope you will help us find just the right person for the job!

This person would be responsible for things like making presentations on behalf of the pantry to local churches and community organizations, assisting in the coordination of fundraising events, acting as the point of contact for media and other community resources (such as the Topsail Area Chamber of Commerce). Estimated 5-10 hours per month. Must be willing to commit to the mission of feeding hungry neighbors and be a self-starter. Flexible hours, minimal supervision. Training provided.

According to the Food Bank of Central & Eastern North Carolina, 19% of Pender County residents are food-insecure, 50% of whom are children. The mission of the 4C’s Food Pantry is to serve that community within eastern Pender County by providing a monthly box of nutritious food. The pantry is a faith-based organization operating solely through the commitment and dedication of volunteers within our community. To keep our food pantry doors open, we rely on charitable donations and public support of churches, individuals, civic organizations, and grant funding.
