Established in 2020, Aktion Club of Topsail Island has emerged as a beacon of community service, fostering leadership, friendship, and fellowship among its members while leaving a lasting mark on Hampstead, Topsail Island, Holly Ridge, Sneads Ferry, Wilmington, and beyond.

Under the sponsorship of the Kiwanis Club of Topsail Island Area, the Aktion Club of Topsail Island thrives on its mission to empower members to develop initiative and leadership skills through meaningful service projects. Dr. Diane Cavanagh, Advisor to the club, emphasizes the transformative power of inclusive service activities, stating, "Working alongside Aktion Club allows Kiwanians to engage individuals who might otherwise be excluded from such endeavors, yet possess boundless potential to contribute to their communities. The Kiwanis members have embraced and supported our club, forging deep connections, understanding, and camaraderie with each and every member."

Throughout the week, Aktion Club members proudly don their club shirts and pins, engaging in conversations with neighbors and friends to showcase their positive impact through service. From crafting holiday cards for nursing homes, organizing food drives, creating blessing bags for the homeless, and hosting family fun nights for the disability community, the Aktion Club of Topsail Island exemplifies the spirit of giving back.

Looking ahead to 2024, the Aktion Club of Topsail Island remains committed to serving the community through volunteering, sharing talents, and fostering joy. Meetings are held on Sunday afternoons at the Holly Ridge Community Center.
