TOPSAIL AREA, NC – The Greater Topsail Area Chamber of Commerce & Tourism is pleased to announce the six award honorees recognized at its Annual Awards Luncheon and Silent Auction on May 20.

The Annual Chamber Awards Luncheon celebrates excellence in six categories: Volunteer of the Year, Non-Profit of the Year, Businessperson of the Year, Hospitality Business of the Year, Business of the Year, and Lifetime Achievement.

This year’s honorees are:

• Businessperson of the Year: Christa Schroeder, originator of Topsail Top Choice and owner of Topsail Insider.
• Non-Profit of the Year: Boys and Girls Club of Southeastern North Carolina.
• Volunteer of the Year: Evelyn Wheeler, Chamber Ambassador, facilitator of Coastal Masterminds, and owner of Web Designs Your Way.
• Hospitality Business of the Year: Sundial Coffee and Tea, owned by Bridget Leiviska.
• Business of the Year: Topsail Island Trading Company and The Gift Basket, owned by Claire and John Noto.
• Lifetime Achievement Award: David Ward and Ward Realty, a business that has served the Topsail area for over seven decades.

“The annual luncheon is a highlight of our year because we have the opportunity to honor outstanding members of the Chamber,” said Tammy Proctor, Chamber Director.
