SURF CITY – The Greater Topsail Area Chamber of Commerce & Tourism office is partnering with the Small Business Center at Cape Fear Community College to present a series of workshops in 2024.

“The next workshop in our Lunch and Series with CFCC Small Business Center is ‘If Disney Ran Your Business’ with the Ex-Disney guy, John Formica,” said Tammy Proctor, Executive Director of the Greater Topsail Area Chamber of Commerce & Tourism.

The March 12, 11:30 a.m. seminar is free to the community. Box lunches will be provided for the cost of $10 for chamber members or $15 for non-members. All seminars will be hosted by the CFCC Alston W. Burke Center in Surf City, 621 NC Hwy 210.

The “If Disney Ran Your Business” seminar focuses on cultivating repeat customers, the lifeblood of a healthy business. This is a must for frontline employees. Learn from the authority of “America’s Best Customer Service Experience Coach” as we explore incredible experiences and best practices.

Other seminars in the Lunch and Learn Series include:

• How to Find, Interview, and Hire Magical People, also taught by John Formica, who hired more than 75,000 employees at Disney World Resort, is offered May 1.
• On July 9, learn to put together the pieces of the social media puzzle in the workshop How to Maximize social media for Your Business. This class will help you connect your business message if you struggle with social media strategies.
• Finally on Sept. 11, learn how to market your business online. Digital marketing is different from traditional offline marketing. This class instructs business owners how to integrate, how to improve their return on investment, and expand their reach.
