TOPSAIL BEACH – The Historical Society of Topsail Island (HSTI) opens the Museum for the 2024 season on Friday, March 1st at 1:00PM. The Museum is located at 720 Channel Blvd. Topsail Beach. 

The Historical Society of Topsail Island is pleased to have you explore the legend and lore of pirates and sunken Spanish treasure. Discover Operation Bumblebee and how it helped get the US to the moon! Learn how the WASPs changed the role of women in aviation. Delve into the history of the Greater Topsail Island Area. Unearth treasures in our outdoor fossil dig! Investigate this and more in and around the Historic Assembly Building.

 "We look forward to welcoming visitors for our 29th season”, said Laurette Gordon, Museum Director. She added, “Visitors of all ages will enjoy new merchandise in our gift shop."

Admission to the Museum is free. Donations are appreciated. Open hours for March are Wednesday-Friday  1PM - 3 PM. April & May see extended hours 11AM-3PM, through May 24. Starting May 28th, the Museum days and hours expand to Monday-Friday 10AM-3PM. (closed Memorial day)
