The Greater Topsail Area Chamber of Commerce & Tourism office is pleased to welcome ModWash, the area’s newest car wash with a special spin when it comes to the appearance of your vehicle.

ModWash, located at 101 Wilkes Lane near the Harris Teeter and Lowes Hardware, offers affordable “ModMembership” packages that are good for a lifetime. Unlimited packages begin at $19.99 per wash.

The company offers the MoreWash-plus, MustWash-plus, and the MustWash.

The packages are cheaper than most car washes charge for one car wash. ModWash members can wash a vehicle once per day.

General Manager Tammy Beck said ModWash sets itself apart from other national car wash companies.

“We use new technologies,” she said. “We use a technique called graphing that fills in scratches. It gives a beautiful finish.”

ModWash does not use harsh brushes. Instead, the company uses cloth that is like the fabric used in wet suits. It doesn’t scratch the paint.

Another difference is the force in which the dryers function.

“Other companies use strong dryers, but those can dent the hood of a vehicle by the impact of the thrust of air pressing downward,” explained Tammy.

Customers have access to free touch-up towels, vacuums, and more.

The first 1,000 new members at ModWash will receive a 25 percent discount for life.

In addition to individual memberships, ModWash also offers packages to fleets and local businesses.

Last month ModWash collaborated with Share the Table, offering free car washes in exchange for food donations to Share the Table. Locally the company is active in the Greater Topsail Area Chamber of Commerce & Tourism and other business-to-business activities. Recently, on a cold day, they offered free coffee to their customers. The company is focused on customers and the community.

As a new company to the community, ModWash is offering package pricing that never increases over a lifetime of membership.

“We do clean,” said Tammy.
