HOLLY RIDGE – Mornings with WomenConnect, a Greater Topsail Area Chamber of Commerce & Tourism networking event, will meet on Aug. 22, at 7:30 a.m., at Southern Roots Grille.

“We launched Mornings with WomenConnect last year,” said Executive Director Tammy Proctor. “The networking group has more than doubled in attendance. Southern Roots Grille graciously offered our growing networking group a large meeting room.”

Mornings with WomenConnect is an offshoot of the Chamber’s WomenConnect networking group that meets at noon at Nineteen Restaurant in Hampstead on the second Thursday of each month.

“Some women find it difficult to leave their businesses midday,” said Proctor. “Mornings with WomenConnect is a wonderful alternative for those who want to network before heading to the office.”

Mornings with WomenConnect meets on the fourth Thursday of each month, except on holidays. The networking event is open to Chamber members. Non-members are encouraged to attend, to get to know other women business owners and leaders.

“We hope non-members will see the value and benefits of Chamber membership,” added Proctor.

There is no fee to attend WomenConnect or Mornings with WomenConnect. Attendees purchase meals from the menu at their own expense.
