Topsail Chamber is accepting boat registrations for the 2023 Flotilla

Third annual Flotilla is set for Dec. 9

TOPSAIL – The Greater Topsail Area Chamber of Commerce Tourism is currently accepting registrations for the 2023 Christmas Flotilla.

“We are pleased to announce that this year’s flotilla sponsor is Sea Tow of Wrightsville Beach,” said Annette Erny, chair of the events committee.

Erny said that due to Sea Tow’s generous sponsorship, the first prize for the flotilla’s best decorated boat will be $1,000. Second and third prize winners will receive $300 and $200, respectively.

“The first 10 boats that register are entered free of charge,” said Erny. “After those slots are filled, the registration is only $25.”

The flotilla is a portion of a day of activity, which also includes the Christmas Market at Soundside Park, 517 Roland Ave. in Surf City. The market opens at noon. Santa and Mrs. Claus will be available for photos with the family from 3-6 p.m. Topsail Dental is sponsoring music by Fryd on the Boat. The flotilla should arrive at Soundside Park by 6 p.m., weather permitting.
