Topsail Chamber launches Coastal Connections

SURF CITY – People do business with people they know. It sounds simple, but making connections can be challenging, especially for small business owners who devote so much time to the office.
On June 6, the Greater Topsail Area Chamber of Commerce & Tourism is launching a new networking opportunity for the business community.
“We call it Coastal Connections, a quarterly event that business owners can come, meet, visit, and network,” said Tammy Proctor, the chamber’s executive director. “It is going to be a casual affair with no elevator speeches required.”
The chamber membership expressed a desire to have networking opportunities in the late afternoon and early evening. The members were in agreement that to support one another, they needed to know about the services provided by fellow businesses.
“I can’t refer your business if I don’t know the services you provide,” said Proctor. “Coastal Connections is an opportunity to learn more about our business community.”
The first Coastal Connection will be hosted by Salty Turtle’s venue, The Cove, on June 6 at 5:30 p.m. There will be a cash bar. There is no fee for admission.
“You do not have to be a chamber member to attend, but we hope your business will see the value in the many benefits the chamber has to offer,” said Proctor.
